Who you are
You have a worked as a Pediatrician for a minimum of 1 year, with experience working in a similar role.
You have a Medical Degree from a recognized medical school and postgraduate studies (residency) in the field of Pediatric Medicine.
You possess a valid license to practice medicine in New Brunswick through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick (CPSNB), and Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level. Bilingual skills would be considered an asset.
What you will do
Reporting to the Pediatrics Medicine Department Head and the Medical Director for the area, the Pediatrician collaborates with other Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered, Nurses, and other Allied Medical Staff to provide:
- Full-time practice in General Pediatrics, providing both inpatient and outpatient care.
- Provide consultations to hospital-based patients as requested by attending staff.
- Participate in departmental medical education initiatives.
- Provide on-call services as required during statutory holidays, evenings, and weekends as part of the on-call schedule for the Department.
- Participate in departmental and other appropriate pediatrics and hospital committees.
- Participate in medical practice that is compatible with the Health Authority’s mission, values, and strategic directions.
- Other duties that may arise by circumstance and may be assigned by the Department of Pediatrics.
