DocsForDurham is seeking Family Physicians to join a network of high-quality, community based primary care practices across Durham Region. Opportunities exist across multiple established clinics, offering a range of practice models and patient populations to suit your interests and lifestyle.

Practice Environment
· Urban, suburban, and rural clinic opportunities
· Clinics operate within Family Health Organizations (FHO) and Family Health Groups (FHG)
· Collaborative care with nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and administrative staff
· Planned expansion of allied health resources and team-based care
· EMR systems in use (most commonly PS Suite or Accuro)
· Flexible schedules to support work-life balance
· Support for onboarding and community integration
Responsibilities
· Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages
· Deliver all aspects of office-based care, including:
o Assessment of new symptoms
o Minor procedures
o Preventive care
o Chronic disease management
· Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
· Participate in after-hours and weekend coverage with your physician group
· Opportunities for other clinical work, including:
o Long Term Care
o Palliative care
o Urgent care
o Hospital privileges, including:
§ Emergency Medicine
§ Obstetrics
§ Palliative Care
§ Hospitalist medicine
§ GP Anesthesia
§ Surgical Assisting
· Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents in collaboration with affiliated universities
· Maintain professional documentation in EMR systems
· Uphold CPSO and Ontario College of Family Physicians standards of practice
Qualifications
· CCFP certification (or eligibility)
· Independent practice license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
· CMPA coverage
· Commitment to patient-centered, community-focused care
· Interest in teaching and mentoring learners is an asset
Compensation
· Varies by physician compensation model:
o FHO: Capitation with fee-for-service top-up
o FHG: Full fee-for-service
o Community Health Centres: Salaried
· Overhead and billing structures discussed with individual clinics
· Incentives may be available for new graduates or relocating physicians
