Job Description

Tom Price is located 1450km from Perth, just a short two hour flight with a residential population of around 3,000. With the active FIFO workforce and popular nearby attractions, the population can swell to 5000 during peak tourist season.
Town facilities include a supermarket, medical centre, hospital, fuel outlet, library, café, restaurants, golf club, motels, and a caravan park. With primary, secondary schooling, and TAFE options this is a great community to raise an active family. The town boast three large ovals, tennis, netball, basketball, and squash courts as well as a lawn bowls green, cricket nets, an 18-hole golf course, and an Olympic-size swimming pool.
Tom Price is the gateway to the stunning Karijini National Park and is serviced by the nearby Paraburdoo Airport with multiple flights daily to and from Perth to Paraburdoo via Qantas. There are countless adventures available on your very doorstep for outdoor enthusiasts with excellent hikes, gorges, camping, fishing, and hunting options. Bring the boat, caravan, or other toys.
The Practice
Choose your own adventure with either a salaried role or independent contractor arrangement offering plenty of flexibility to work with clinical autonomy and enjoy the fully diversity of the rural generalist scope. You will provide high-quality primary care in the general practice and be involved in emergency and hospital work, supported by the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), and West Australian Country Health Service (WACHS) Emergency Telehealth Services. Dedicated to providing high quality care to all within Tom Price, Paraburdoo and surrounding communities.
Your work is varied and includes 24/7 on call cover for emergencies on a 1:3 roster as well as all aspects of general practice booked appointments, walk-ins; occupational health medical assessments, acute injury treatment and management. With a high prevalence of women's and children's health, mental health, chronic disease management, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health or skin work, general practitioners with special interests in these areas have increased earning potential.
- Monday to Friday GP sessions + Saturday AM
- Shared 1:3 or 1:2 ED on call (0800-0800)

The Requirements
- Current unconditional general or specialist registration as a medical practitioner with AHPRA
The Package
- High earning potential
- Earn up to 70% of mixed billings + up to $2700 per on call shift
