About Us

Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation, funded by the HSE under Section 38. We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training.

 

Purpose of the Post

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Behaviour Specialist will, on a Permanent Contract, provide expertise in the area of positive behaviour support and work as part of the Behaviour Support Team. 

 

Experience and Qualifications

·         Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst preferred but not essential with two years’ experience in a similar role.

·         Hold a higher qualification in the area of behavioural assessment and intervention e.g., MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Diploma in Applied Psychology of Learning Disability (Challenging Behaviour).

·         Evidence of participation in continued professional development.

·         Hold a full clean driving licence and access to a car.

Salary

In line with the Department of Health consolidated pay scales, the current salary scale is Grade VI (Clerical); €57,325  – €70,034 per annum (including LSI).
