The Organisation
Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation providing comprehensive community-based services to people with intellectual disabilities in West Dublin, North Kildare and Meath.
We support people with a wide range of support needs across residential settings, day services, supported independent living, job advocacy and vocational training.
Purpose of the Post
The post holder will have responsibility for providing managerial and professional leadership in the running of assigned area(s) of responsibility within Day Services and influencing future service delivery and development. This is in line with best practice, using a Person-Centred approach in accordance with New Directions Standards. The post holder will contribute to the future direction of area(s) of responsibility being accountable for the delivery and standards of care provided to day attendees using a person-centred approach.
Candidates must meet the following criteria relevant to the role
- Have successfully completed a degree (Honours) in Social Care, Nursing or Clinical discipline.
- A minimum of five years’ post-healthcare qualification experience working in a management role is essential.
- A management qualification in a business discipline is desirable.
- Leadership skills, ability to influence, motivate, and grow the service.
- Experience and knowledge of the New Directions (Interim) Standards and knowledge of national policies in the disability sector.
- Ability to work strategically, ensuring effective planning and delivery of services within budget.
- Experience of building relationships and engaging with key stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Possess a full clean driving licence and must be willing and able to use own vehicle for work-related travel during the working day.
- Strong information technology skills.
Salary and qualifications are in accordance with Department of Health consolidated pay scales. Salary Scale is Social Care Manager 3, €68,073-€77,893 incl LSI per annum
