About Us

Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation, funded by the HSE under Section 38. We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training.

 

Purpose of the Post

Reporting to the Head of Social Work the Safeguarding Manager will, for a two-year fixed term plan and manage changes in the provision of services within the Department and co-ordinate and manage all matters relating to Safeguarding. The Safeguarding Manager will work with members of the Department offering support to Service Users and their families. 

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • Registered in the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Board at CORU.
  • Have a minimum of three years post qualification experience and a proven record of effectiveness as a professional Social Worker.
  • Have a full clean driving licence and access to a car.
  • Demonstrate competence and capability of undertaking the duties attached to the office.
  • Possess the clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
  • Evidence of participation in continued professional development.

SalarySalary and qualifications are in line with the Department of Health consolidated pay scales. The current salary scale is Social Worker, Senior Medical, €70,890 – €81,874 per annum (including LSI).
